Summer is just about here and it’s time to let loose and enjoy yourself. But wait – how am I supposed to stay healthy and fit this summer without school sports? It all seems so impossible! Help me, The Voice! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Now that your schedule is completely open, there’s plenty of time to focus on your fitness. Here are some tips and tricks to stay fit over the summer:

  1. Pres

Pres offers Crossfit classes on weekdays at 4 p.m. throughout the summer for anyone who wants to join. Take a break in between seasons of “Friends” and spend an hour at the gym. Pres also offers a Surf and Turf Yoga class! If falling off a surfboard into the pool sounds fun to you, visit summeratpres.com.

  1. Hiking

There are plenty of beautiful places to hike in the San Jose area. Grab a few friends and a picnic and enjoy the sun at Los Gatos Creek County Park (pictured), Almaden Quicksilver County Park, Anderson Lake County Park, or any other numerous hiking spots!

  1. Beach

Since you’ll probably be spending most of your summer at the beach, take advantage of it! Play some beach volleyball or soccer with your friends, do a quick workout, or just take a long walk along the beach. Doing your cardio with the resistance from the sand adds extra burn to your workout.
