New Teachers at Pres


Mattie Pasion is the new Special Events Coordinator at Presentation, helping with fundraising events such as the golf tournament and fashion show. Previously, she worked as the event coordinator at The Presidio in San Francisco.

Pasion was referred to the job by her friend Caitlin Matalone, who also works at Presentation. Pasion says she chose to work at Presentation because it was a nice way to come back home. Her parents live in the area, and she went to St. Christopher School as a child.

Fun Fact: She doesn’t have a favorite color, but she does have a favorite color combination: blush gold and navy.


Lisa Tripoli is the new Educational Technologist on campus, working with both teachers and students to integrate technology into the curriculum. She has worked in education for 18 years, most recently as technology support for a public high school.

Tripoli chose to work at Presentation not only because it was close to her home, but because she was interested in the 1-to-1 iPad program and liked the idea of working at an all girl’s school. So far, she really loves working at Presentation and enjoys working together with the students to solve problems.

Fun Fact: She went on a rafting trip in Kauai on the Na Pali coast and fell in love with the colors of the ocean. She also really loves the color of our uniforms!


Toni vonDohren is the new Parent Board Moderator, stepping in for Jane Jeziorski during her medical leave. vonDohren has been on the Parent Board for the last seven years and has been very active in the community ever since her youngest daughter attended Presentation and graduated in 2013.

Before coming to work at Presentation, vonDohren did corporate tax work for 37 years and was retired for two years. She decided to work at Presentation because she loves the community and the opportunities that Presentation gives girls. She also knows a lot of teachers from when her daughter attended and from working on the Parent Board for so many years.

Fun Fact: She likes the show Grace and Frankie because she relates to the two characters who find themselves single in their fifties.


Lisa Brunolli is new to our Presentation community. Catch her teaching Honors English 9A or working by the front office as our new Vice President of Student Services. A huge Giants fan with a bucket list of things she finds reasonable to do, Brunolli has a love for adventure and the Presentation community.

Fun Fact: One of her favorite movies is ET, and she taught herself how to surf!


Jerry Chavez is our night watchman that works with Mr. Atkinson. He will be working here from 3-11 p.m.  locking up the school and making sure everything is in place for the next day.


Grace Lee, our digital arts teacher, is new to our Presentation community! She worked in Hollywood as a videographer at Nylon Magazine among many other companies. Lee then moved to New York to work for a little bit, but eventually found her way back to her home, the Bay Area. When asked what she enjoyed the most about Pres thus far, she immediately responded with, “the students.”

Fun Fact: She is unsure of what her favorite show is, but Lee is currently watching Friday Night Lights on Netflix.  


Don’t forget to shoot Art Mendoza a warm welcome if you see him working in Room 1 as our Network Systems administrator! A native of the Bay Area, Mendoza attended Silver Creek High School, and, after college, worked in the corporate world before finding his way to our Presentation community. When asked how he found his way to Pres, he said, “I wanted a place where my voice could be heard and had a community feel.”

Fun Fact: His hobbies include photography, basketball, and, “whatever the kids want to do.”


New College Counselor Patrick Lorenzo has worked in higher education for 13 years at three different colleges: University of California San Diego for four years, Santa Clara University for two years, and most recently Saint Mary’s College of California for seven years.

As the former President and captain of the competitive chess team at Bellarmine, Lorenzo hopes to bring a chess club or team to Pres. He believes the game of chess is a very valuable asset to those wishing to go into the STEM field, and further hopes to be a moderator to the club if his idea is pursued in the future.

Fun Fact: Besides his love of chess, Lorenzo is a serious fan of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. He says, “Those are two shows that I’m on top of and following, even though it means a little less sleep on Sunday night. That’s how committed I am to those shows.”


Director of Speech and Debate, Shawn Matson, is a Milwaukee, Wiscon. native who has been a speech and debate coach and director for the past seven years. He has previously worked at Lynbrook High School and Whitefish Bay High School in Wisconsin.

His goals for the Speech and Debate team does not only include growing the size of the team, but he is also not afraid to say how he wants to win. He says, “I want to get more people involved in Speech and Debate because it is proven that Speech and Debate skills are life-changing, and are the kind of skills that not only employers are looking for, but help you make a good communicator, and realize your full potential.”

Fun Fact: Matson’s summer was not only filled with moving to California, but he also traveled to Asia, where he spent his birthday and visited Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Right after his Asian adventure, Matson flew straight to Speech and Debate Nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is truly dedication at its finest!


French teacher Jessica Pasa teaches French 2 and French 2 Honors this year. She has previously taught at Notre Dame Belmont and Leland High School.

Working at Presentation she says she feels very supported and welcome by our community. She says, “I really like the all girls environment and I like the sense of community at a Catholic School. I also live in San Jose and I have a 5 month old baby girl so it’s very nice to be close to home.”

Fun Fact: On Netflix, Pasa can be found keeping up with episodes of Madmen or House of Cards. In her spare time, you can catch her jamming out to the top two songs in her playlist, The Writing’s on the Wall by OK Go and Midnight City by M83.
